Mulching, planting and softscaping

Enhancing your outdoor space with practical, lasting improvements

Overview

Softscaping

Softscaping is the work that changes how a garden looks in a single day — fresh mulch, clean edges, new planting and tidy pebble work. It also makes the garden easier to keep: mulched beds hold moisture, suppress weeds and cut down the ongoing maintenance.

Refresh your garden with thoughtful softscaping solutions, including mulch installation, decorative pebbles, planting, garden edging, and plant replacements. We create tidy, low-maintenance outdoor spaces that improve the appearance and health of your garden while complementing your home.

What it costs

Straightforward pricing.

Priced by area and material. Mulch is quoted per cubic metre delivered and spread, planting per plant plus labour. We'll give you a fixed total before anything is ordered.

Common questions

How often should mulch be topped up?
Once a year for most gardens, usually heading into summer. A 50–75mm layer is the target — deeper than that and you can starve the roots of air.
Which mulch should I use?
Hardwood chip is the best all-rounder for beds and holds up to wind. Black mulch looks sharper against modern homes but fades faster. Pine bark suits natives and acid-loving planting.
Do you supply the plants?
Yes. We source from local growers and pick varieties suited to your aspect and soil, so you're not replacing them in two seasons.
How do I get a quote?
Send a few photos of the garden through the quote form or a text, and you'll usually have a fixed price back the same day. Quotes are free and there's no obligation.
