Hedge trimming and pruning

Precision trimming for healthy, well-shaped hedges

Overview

Hedge Trimming & Pruning

A well-cut hedge is the fastest way to lift a whole garden. We shape hedges, shrubs and small trees with straight lines and even faces, cutting to encourage dense regrowth rather than just skimming the top — and the finish is left clean, with every clipping picked up.

Keep hedges, shrubs, and small trees neat and healthy with professional trimming and pruning. We shape each plant carefully to encourage healthy growth while creating a clean, tidy finish that enhances the look of your property.

What it costs

Straightforward pricing.

Hedge work is priced by run length, height and how far it's been let go. A single overgrown hedge is usually a one-off job; ongoing hedges are cheaper folded into a maintenance visit two or three times a year.

Common questions

When is the best time to trim hedges in Melbourne?
Late spring and again in late summer suits most formal hedges, with a light tidy in early autumn if you want them sharp through winter. Avoid hard cutting in the middle of a heatwave or a frost.
Can you bring an overgrown hedge back?
Usually yes, but it takes two stages. We cut it back hard to a workable frame, let it push new growth, then shape it properly on the next visit rather than leaving bare, woody gaps.
How high can you work?
We carry ladders and pole equipment for standard residential hedges. Anything requiring rope access or a large tree removal we'll refer you to an arborist rather than take on.
Do you take the green waste with you?
Yes. Clippings, prunings and hedge waste all leave on the ute the same day, so you're not left with piles or a full green bin.
