Questions
Everything people ask us before booking.
If your question isn't here, call 0400 272 618 or send it through the form below — we answer quickly and there's no pressure to book.
Getting started
- How do I get a quote?
- Send a few photos and details through the quote form or give us a call on 0400 272 618. We'll come back with a clear, no-obligation price — usually the same day. For bigger jobs we'll drop past to look at the garden first.
- Do you charge for quotes?
- No. Quotes are free and there's no obligation to book.
- How quickly can you start?
- One-off tidy-ups and clean-ups are usually booked within a week or two. Regular maintenance rounds fill up in spring, so it's worth getting in touch early if you want a set fortnightly slot.
- Do I need to be home?
- Not at all, as long as we can get to the garden and reach a tap or power point if the job needs one. Most of our regular clients are at work while we're there.
Pricing and payment
- How much does garden maintenance cost?
- Garden maintenance is charged hourly at roughly $80 per hour. Most regular visits on an average suburban block land between $80 and $240 depending on size and how much needs doing. See the pricing guide for indicative ranges by job type.
- Is there a minimum charge?
- Yes — one hour. If a small job takes less, we'll use the remaining time on edges, weeds or a tidy-up rather than rushing off.
- How do I pay?
- We invoice through Xero after the visit and you can pay by bank transfer. Regular clients are usually invoiced per visit.
- Do prices change for one-off versus regular visits?
- The hourly rate is the same, but regular gardens take less time to keep on top of, so ongoing visits generally cost less than an overgrown one-off clean-up.
The work
- What services do you offer?
- Regular garden maintenance, lawn mowing and edging, hedge trimming and pruning, garden clean-ups, weeding, mulching and softscaping work such as new planting and garden bed renewal.
- Do you take the green waste away?
- Yes. Clippings, prunings and hedge waste all leave with us on the ute, so the only thing left behind is a tidy garden.
- How often should I book?
- Most Melbourne gardens sit on a fortnightly visit through spring and summer and stretch to every three or four weeks over winter. We'll suggest a rhythm that suits your garden rather than selling you visits you don't need.
- Do you do tree removal or hard landscaping?
- We handle pruning and small tree work, plus softscaping like planting, mulching and bed preparation. Large tree removal, paving and structural landscaping aren't our trade, but we're happy to point you to someone local.
- What happens if it rains?
- We work through light rain, but if conditions make the job unsafe or would damage the lawn we'll reschedule — usually within the same week.
Where we work
- Which suburbs do you service?
- Melbourne's inner east and bayside — including Malvern, Malvern East, Toorak, Armadale, Prahran, South Yarra, Caulfield, Camberwell, Hawthorn, Kew, Brighton and Elsternwick. If you're just outside that, ask anyway.
- Are you insured?
- Yes — we're fully insured and fully equipped, so everything we need arrives with us.
- Can you look after an investment or rental property?
- Yes. We look after a number of rentals and can send photos after each visit so you can see the work without being there.
